San Fernando sisters Este, Danielle and Alana like to keep it in the family; their first band, Rockinhaim, included their parents. In the space of one EP, mummy and daddy must be proud of the trio's success, with a nomination for BBC's Sound of 2012, as well as tours supporting the likes of Mumford & Sons, Julian Casablancas and, most recently, Florence + the Machine. They specialise in pop and R&B, with a youthful 90s feel dominating the early releases. Bloggers see them as the new Fleetwood Mac, and radio stations play them as the breezily melodic antidote to today's obsession with dance. One of few chart-friendly newcomers with credible prospects for population-spanning appeal. Download the Forever EP for free here.
Remember, there's a Spotify playlist of all these bands here. 13 for 2013
